SimplePlay
SimplePlay — provider review
SimplePlay is a developer of slots, fishing games, and table games founded in 2019 by a team of gambling industry veterans. The company is part of SA Gaming Group, a well-known Asian gambling platform, and that origin explains a notable trait of the portfolio: SimplePlay treats fishing games as a full-fledged category rather than an add-on to slots, as is usually the case with European studios — the genre is traditionally far more popular in Asia.
The partnership with SA Gaming became the launchpad for SimplePlay's growth in the industry: the studio spans four product categories — slot games, table games, fishing games, and a game lobby.
💡 SimplePlay by the numbers
Founded in 2019, part of SA Gaming Group, four product categories: slot games, table games, fishing games, and a game lobby.
History
From its first release in 2019 to nominations at the IGA and SPiCE Awards, only three years passed — a fairly fast pace of recognition for a studio without a massive game library:
| Year | Event |
|---|---|
| 2019 | SimplePlay founded and releases its first game. |
| 2020 | Attends ICE London; launches its first promotional campaign. |
| 2022 | Nominated in several categories at IGA 2022 and SPiCE Awards 2022. |
| 2023 | Enters the table games market with the launch of an electronic baccarat version. |
Certification
All SimplePlay games that use a random number generator (RNG) are certified by BMM Testlabs, one of the world's most experienced independent game testing labs. The certificates confirm compliance with most European jurisdictions.
Services and game lobby
SimplePlay provides partners with full-cycle support: API integration, wallet integration through TransferWill and SeamlessWill, 24/7 technical support, a back-office management system, and multilingual, multi-currency support for players.
💡 Split-screen mode — a rare desktop option
The game lobby brings all of the studio's games together on one platform, with favourites and ranking features. The desktop version supports a split-screen mode that lets players run up to 4 slot machines at once in a single window — an option far from every provider offers. The mobile H5 version works in both landscape and portrait orientation.
SimplePlay games
Three flagship releases show off SimplePlay's genre range — a classic video slot, a crash game, and a fishing game. As a video slot, Ne Zha Blazing has a clear RTP, while Gorilla Rush and Lustrous Ocean don't publish this figure in the usual format — which makes sense for their genres: crash games and fishing games are built differently and calculate returns in a different way than classic slots.
Ne Zha Blazing — a video slot themed around Chinese mythology on a 4×5 grid with 50 paylines, an RTP of 95.24%, and medium volatility. Top-pay symbols can stack on a single reel for bigger wins, while the bonus round offers a choice of three Free Games options, up to 10 free spins or up to 188 Wilds across the reels. A Buy Bonus feature is available.
Gorilla Rush — a crash game about a giant gorilla rampaging through a city, where players place a bet and cash out before a plane carrying a reporter gets hit. The multiplier climbs as the flight continues, and collected fuel cans add extra value to it — with a max payout of up to 500x.
Lustrous Ocean — a fishing game that supports switching between portrait and landscape mode mid-game. Branching storylines lead to different bosses with huge payouts, and a bonus stage features fish with variable payouts. A Free Bullet Wheel awards up to 30 free bullets and payout multipliers of up to 5x.
