Legally, 1win is not just a slogan. The operator is 1Win N.V.: Curaçao, registration number 147039, address Seru Loraweg 17 C. Curaçao Gaming Authority licence No. OGL/2024/587/0621 was issued on 26 March 2025; in the CGA register as of September 2026 its status is Assessment in progress. Payments are processed by the Cypriot firm MFI Investments Limited, a subsidiary of the same operator. This is not a promotional “international licence”: the number and status are checked against the Authority’s certificate, not against a promise on the homepage. In public sources the brand gives 2016 as its founding year. That is how it positions itself; the regulations and the footer carry no date.
A separate line in the brand’s history: in November 2024, 1win’s user database leaked. According to Have I Been Pwned, that was 96 million accounts with email addresses, phone numbers and password hashes. The casino admitted the incident and said it had been asked for a ransom. The practical takeaway for a player is simple: treat any password used on 1win as compromised and change it, both on the site itself and anywhere else it was reused.
Then it gets strange. The rules list 86 countries and territories whose residents may not register, open accounts or transfer money (in our card they are collapsed into 84 rows: the casino lists three Caribbean islands separately, while the country directory treats them as one entry). The list includes Ukraine, Kazakhstan, the Czech Republic, Germany and Poland; Russia and Uzbekistan are not on it. Access for Kazakhstan is indeed blocked: the page simply does not open. For Ukraine the ban stays on paper: from there the site opens and shows a registration form already filled with the hryvnia and the +380 phone code. The country is detected from the connection address; there is no country selector in the form at all. The Czech Republic, Germany and Poland, along with registration and payments, were not checked separately. For them, only what is written in the rules is known. The important point is different: the ban in §12.5 does not vanish just because the site opened. If an account is opened anyway, the casino may cite its own rules, freeze it and withhold the money. That typically surfaces at KYC verification, at the first large payout.

The casino does write down what it costs. It just hides it deep. There is no multiplier in the general rules, but it is on the bonus card, and there it is spelled out point by point: a first deposit from 1,000 rubles gives up to 50,000 in bonus, wagering: ×30 of the bonus amount, and after wagering the account is credited with no more than the bonus amount itself. Then come the rules this bonus lives by. The rules do not allow more than one active bonus in casino and one in sports betting (T&C 35.6). The 1win Points loyalty programme looks generous until you calculate the conversion rate. What is known for certain is the timelines. The rules promise to pay amounts up to 50 USD or equivalent in a window from a minute to an hour; anything larger, within five days, plus separately stated delays of up to three business days caused by the bank or the payment system.
